For Sale - Raymond McMahon Tools & Materials
The late Ray McMahon was a former member of AMBC, and leaves a large collection of model boats and workshop equipment which his family now wish to sell on to new owners.
There are TWO lists on this page.
The first is tools and workshop equipment.
The second is boats (further down the page).
Offers are invited for any of this equipment or any of the boats. Correspondence, in the form of emails, should initially be sent to Marcus, at Admin@ayrmodelboatclub.org

Note that all models and most items of equipment are currently located in the Stranraer area. Note that the milling machine is in Dumfries.
Large vice. 6 inch model. This is a Record No. 2 and a substantial item, ideal for use with your big hammer....
Fretsaw, by Clarke. American friends would call this a scrollsaw.
WOLF grinder, and CLARKE belt and disc sander. For sale individually.
ONE kiln (two views). Exact size of the chamber is unknown, but it looks fairly small. Made by GALLENKAMP, so this is a quality item.
Pillar drill. The table is approximately 300 x 300mm (1ft x 1ft).
Speed is set by arranging a belt on two pairs of pulleys, inside the top cover. This is a fairly old item but in very good condition.
The little cube sitting on the table is for sale separately.
Milling machine. This is an old Tom Senior mill, in working condition, but in need of a good clean and a bit of cosmetic TLC.
It is located in Dumfries and belongs to a club there.
This is a heavy and substantial item (300Kg?), but the Tom Senior mills were real workhorses in their day, and still sought after. This one has the overarm for horizontal milling, and the vertical head (visible in the picture, fitted just under the overarm.
A large collection of balsa wood, for sale as one lot. This looks like the yield from several trees...
CLARKE workshop table. Contents are NOT included. Note the handy raised lip around both sides and the rear edge, to stop items falling off. Things can still fall off the front, of course, whereupon they will fall on the floor and roll out of sight, never to be seen again - just like the bench you already have in your workshop...
