The model was built from a plan I bought from Sarik. Jim Pottinger was the designer and I believe he served his time in shipyard in Greenock many years past. It took me around 6 months to build. Plank on frame with plasticard accommodation to keep the top weight low. Three operational fire monitors supplied by a car windscreen pump run on individual battery. Quite a difficult shape to build with the tripod funnel/mast. Railings were a mixture of light wire and solder wire for top rail. I think it was a 40mm brass prop too. Radar operates individually from a two AA battery pack inside accommodation. Unfortunately the vessel and crew were lost in an accident towing a bulk carrier near Govan in the fog in 2007.
