Reggata 2026

The annual club regatta took place at the end of August and was on an overcast day with little wind.  There was a fairly good turn out of members and many different types of boats were exhibited.  In the club house a competition took place for best boat and members choise.  The club was also had visiting members from the Warrix model flying club from Irvine. Some of there members had boats and were just getting into building boats. They wanted to come along for the day and sail there boats and this increased the number of boats sailing on the day. They were made very welcome by Ayr Model Boat Club members. one of the Warrix members had built a Caledonia Mc Brane ferry from a plan this was 3D printed into a model boat and a sound module was fitted with various ferry sounds this was very impressive. The warrix members thanked us at the end of the day for our hospitality and were impressed with the set up of our club and club house.
